Sindh Police introduced digital driving license system on Tuesday. I G Sindh Allah Dino Khawaja has inaugurated a new computerized and latest technology driving license system. The new driving license will be linked with the Nadra’s (National Database and Registration Authority) online system. The renewal of old licenses will take around 15 minutes and new digital licenses will be issued within 40 minute, according to the private news channel. I G Sindh inaugurated the process in a ceremony which was held at Driving License Office- Clifton Branch. He further explained that this facility help putting a stop to fake licenses, and included that convenience and transparency will now be enhanced.
Inspector General (IG) of Sindh Police stated that provision of the digital driving licenses has been created possible for public through the one-window operation. People will able to access information relating to their driving licenses via a mobile app. License applicants will be kept informed and aware throughout the process via texts. The most important is that Sindh’s modernized driving license system will be acceptable in any part of the world. IG Sindh further said that the new digital driving license system will help or assist in the NAP- National Action Plans implementation. Province of Punjab has DLIMS- Driving Issuance Management system, which automates the procedures of the licenses issuance, upgrades and renewal. This system utilizes state of the art technology to give the quick facility and services to the public.
With the new and latest developments in the matter of driving license system, citizens could submit the fee of the driving license in any bank. They also can submit new driving license fee payments online. In the matter of payments home delivery is also offered, now the applicant’s address can be verified. The use of modern technology made the things very easy and reliable for everyone.
